The Pittsburgh Association for the Education of Young Children (PAEYC) works to support high quality early care and education for young children through professional development, collaboration with community resources and advocacy for the needs and rights of children, their families and the individuals who work with them.

Our Organizational Goals

• To Promote professionalism among those working in the field through education, public awareness and advocacy.
• To take a proactive approach to promoting awareness, understanding, and the embracing of diversity in our culture as it relates to the early childhood profession.
• To monitor and advocate for public policies that will positively affect children, families, early childhood educators, and other professionals in the field of early care and education.
• To serve as a referral source and resource for early childhood educators, families and their communities.
• To promote collaboration and partnership with relevant groups.
• To maintain fiscal and organizational viability.
