PAEYC Accreditation Committee Fact Sheet

Accreditation Mentoring Project:

* PAEYC is currently providing much needed support to six centers in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties.
* PAEYC has hired a NAEYC consultant/mentor who is available every Thursday to answer telephone calls and emails about NAEYC accreditation.
* THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN MADE POSSIBLE BY THE HEINZ ENDOWMENT AND THE GRABLE FOUNDATION.

NAEYC Support Groups:

* PAEYC has started two NAEYC Accreditation Support Groups for directors in the Pittsburgh area. These groups meet on a regular basis and work through issues they face while going through the accreditation process. Due to the success of these groups, PAEYC is looking to form new groups in the near future.

Other Projects

* The PAEYC Accreditation Committee has developed power point presentations that are designed to walk directors through the accreditation process.
