PAEYC Public Policy and Advocacy Fact Sheet

* PAEYC coordinated visit to Harrisburg Early Childhood Action Day for the southwest region of PA.

* Member of the Pre-K Today statewide non-partisan campaign launched by a broad-based coalition from around the Commonwealth committed to efforts to advance dedicated state financing for voluntary high-quality pre-kindergarten programs designed to assure that Pennsylvania’s children enter school ready to learn and prepared to succeed.

* Conducts advocacy training for PAEYC members, as well as the great early care and education community.

* Collaborates with state supported Community Engagement Coordinators, whose role is advocacy and public awareness.

* Sponsors numerous public awareness throughout April (celebrating the Month of the Young Child) to promote the importance of quality early care and education for children and families

* Coordinate public policy efforts with both PennAEYC and NAEYC.
